Archetypes
Here I'm focusing on archetypal gods and goddesses from Ancient Greek mythology to form themes for my paintings. By taking these classic archetypes out of the traditional context it challenges the viewer to reinterpret and come to possible new conclusion about their roles. I create new relations, most objects relate directly to the archetype but some are used to hint to their myths. This is intentional because these archetypal interpretations can be a comic reflection of our own qualities. |
The Banquet
The ceremonies around the intake of food have become just as important if not more important than the food. Its not just about nourishing ourselves. This societal norm is displaced through figurative interaction, so you question just what tradition you are invited to partake in.

Poetry or so I'm told
These are some of my paintings I've developed from a myriad of inspirations, which are developed on a whim or are part of plans for future series.
